Then the ones who pleased the Lord will ask, "When did we give you something to eat or drink? When did we welcome you as a stranger or give you clothes to wear or visit you while you were sick or in jail?"
The King will answer, "Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me." .......Matthew 25

The Build-a-school project 2009/10
The needs of the 'Fishing Village' can be found here.
The children need the school so that the next generation will not remain illiterate. We anticipate a cost of about US$8,800 for a one classroom wooden school (~7m x 10m) floating on a bamboo raft. An additional US$4000 will provide for maintenance over the first 10 years. The wooden structure should survive 30 years. Details can be found here.
In addition, we need approximately US$21 per child per year for a meal supplementation programme in the other schools. Most of the village schools have enrollments of about 200-250 students so to sponsor a village would cost up to about US$5250 per year.
100% of all monies raised will go to the construction of the school, or directly to the kids. All associated costs, administrative, travel etc are borne personally.
Please make any cheques payable to "Mt Carmel BP Church Ltd" and indicate on the back of the cheque or with a covering letter, that this is intended for the "Cambodia School Building Project".
The cheques can be mailed directly to either:

Learning is important!!
Hi May,
It is nice of you to leave a comment on this blog. Feel free to visit anytime and if you leave a comment I will definitely answer.
I can then explain to you as much as you want about our work here.
God bless.
Will be interested in it. I might be able to do a fund raising thru my motorcycle group for the 2009/10 Buld-a-school project. I be leaving for a Off-Road riding in early Jan 2010.
Alvin
Sorry, Alvin.
I only just picked up on your comment.
Yeah, I'd be interested in working with you if you can get involved with raising some support for our work.
Let me know when and where.
